RTT has over the past years believed and contributed significantly to disadvantaged communities which ties into its corporate philosophy. RTT remains committed to its role as a responsible corporate citizen towards
its stakeholders and the communities within which it operates. Accordingly, the group is committed to playing a role in the development of a market democracy which is characterised by sustainable development in aligning
its vision and mission statements to that of its performance as a corporate citizen.
RTT is committed to ensuring that efforts of the RTT Foundation and community initiatives of the RTT Group, delivers meaningful change and uplift the quality of life of the targeted beneficiary communities and groups
through the engagement of and partnerships with both RTT’s internal and external stakeholders. Our wellness programme specifically address the Transport Industry challenge of HIV and AIDS through awareness and education,
testing and counseling and where required, patient management. Our community projects provide access to primary healthcare through the Unjani “Clinic-in-a-Box”: mobile clinics that reach disadvantaged communities.
RTT Foundation
The RTT Foundation has been established to deliver meaningful change and uplift the quality of life of targeted communities and groups through the engagement of and partnerships with both RTT's
internal and external stakeholders. The RTT Foundation is funded by RTT, our chairman (and founder) Tim Edwards and other shareholder companies.
In recognition of RTT's responsibility as a corporate citizen towards its stakeholders and the communities within which it operates, RTT is committed to playing a role in the development
of a market democracy, characterised by sustainable development. This is achieved by our vision and mission statements to our performance as a corporate citizen. Therefore the key objectives
of the RTT Foundation include:

To focus funding on and involvement in those communities that are directly and indirectly involved with RTT's operations;

To approach all CSI projects in a consultative manner and wherever possible to facilitate sustainability and self-sufficiency in the projects and communities within which we operate;

To manage the impact of RTT's relations with the community and environment according to ethical principles;

To be committed to measure the effectiveness and sustainability of the CSI projects and partnerships against RTT's goals and objectives as set out in RTT's transformation
and CSI targets; and

To become involved in CSI in a responsible and innovative way based on principles and structures that benefit both beneficiaries and donors.
