QUALITY AND THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
Recognising and Rewarding Operational and Academic Achievement
February 2012

On 9th February 2012 Iain Barton, CEO RTT Health Sciences, successfully hosted The Quality and Thought Leadership Awards. The event's purpose- to recognise and reward employees of whom we are RTT and Proud!

To incentivise operational and academic achievement, RTT acknowledged and rewarded three employees: Claudio Mendes for passing his ISO 9001: 2008 Module 2 with 94%, Thembi Gama for passing her ISO 9001: 2008 with 72% and Barbara Bigwood for her successful role in RTT Consumer Health's Quality Programme. A fourth acknowledgment went to Sarantis Kosmas for his original research published in the SAPJ (South African Pharmaceutical Journal) on Cold Chain Management. RTT sponsored this research and distributed a reprint of the piece in a RTT cover magazine which was the give away at the awards as inspiration of quality and thought leadership.

The RTT Medical East training room was transformed into a venue with red, black and white draping, cocktail tables and decor. The venue was chosen as it looks directly into the facility where the guests could see the operations in a 'window of opportunity'. RTT's cold chain boxes were on display and a cold chain facility site tour, led by Mike Harrigan- GM Quality Management and Arno Haigh- Director of RTT Medical tied in with Iain's presentation on being the Cold Chain thought leaders in our industry. Appetizing canapés were served by waiters to the selected guest list of employees nominated to attend as they display the standard of quality and thought leadership that form the fundamentals of our culture.

The event was a triumphant platform to visit our ever important brand statement, values, pillars of excellence and culture in our very own facility and is soon to be repeated in order to recognise and reward more thought leaders within RTT in the near future. Congratulations!
