The Role

RTT Distribution invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Bookkeeper position based in Cape Town. The role is responsible for expense analysis, recording day to day financial transactions, and to manage the fixed asset register.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in similar role
  • Previous experience working on Oracle would be advantageous
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Computer Literacy, Numerical skills
  • Sound communication skills in both written and verbal format
  • Financial and accounting knowledge

Key Accountabilities

  • Full bookkeeping function to Trial balance
  • Verify transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger
  • Manage credit card statements
  • Monitor and manage Petty cash recons
  • Balance Sheet Recons
  • Processing COD journals
  • Month end accruals
  • Reporting
  • Financial Responsibility
  • Management of Fixed Asset Register
  • Expense analysis per branch
  • Liaising with Administrators at various branches in regards with meeting month-end
